New York, NY | The German Derby, Der Klassiker, takes place this Saturday, November 4 at 1:30pm EST and at least two bars in New York City promise to be rocking for the highly anticipated game. The Borussia Dortmund Supporters Club out of McHale’s Bar and the FC Bayern Munich Fan Club out of Smithfield Hall have both been actively readying their troops online this week in preparation of the big game.
Our friends at 11 Freunde will be covering the game at both locations to show the fans in Germany how actively the game will be watched here in NYC, so if you’re a fan of either team make sure to get yourself out to watch what should be a great game. Bayern had a poor start to the season but have found their form again since the departure of coach Carlo Ancelotti and have retaken top spot in the Bundesliga. Meanwhile, after a great start to the season, Dortmund have struggled of late as they lost their hold on top place and have yet to register a win in the Champions League. None of that should matter this Saturday though as all bets are off at the Westfalenstadion.
If you’re looking to attend in Manhattan you can RSVP for either event here:
